Welcome to the Rockville Seventh-day Adventist Church. A diverse group of believers, together as One in Christ. We are a friendly and loving Christian community, and would love to have you join our family. Our church is a multicultural congregation with members originating from all across the globe. At Rockville SDA, we believe in sharing the love of Jesus in our community, and proclaiming the gospel to all we meet.

Our doors are open to all who want to hear of the good news of salvation, and to worship the Lord who is the creator of all things.

We are now in week four (4) of our Fasting and Prayer season. We Praise God for his assurances and his blessings as we continue together on this journey.  With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we are so thankful for the opportunity to fast and pray together this week. We are fasting specifically for families. “A family that prays together, stays together.  Our families are under attack and we are placing our request before the Lord for complete healing and restoration of the family. We are also praying that God will strengthen our faith and our walk with him as we stand in the GAP for our loved ones. Remember to pray with your prayer partner, so you can encourage and strengthen each other.

Our text for this week:

2 SAMUEL 12:16 “David therefore pleaded with God for the child, and David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground.”

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AS WE PREPARE TO FAST

  1.  Restoring, rebuilding spiritual walls through prayer and fasting. Nehemiah 2:20
  2. The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding.

WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO

  1. Share your food with the hungry.
  2. Put away all dissension, pride, grumbling and malicious talk.
  3. Ask in faith for the promised blessing.
  4. Ask for the spirit of gratitude, clarity of mind.
  5. Trust and place entire confidence in Him and faithfully obey him.
  6. Take five minutes from each hour and read from the Word.
  7. Drink pure water each hour.
  8. Exercise your toes, hands and feet.
  9. Confess and repent showing sincere regret or remorse and give praise for answered prayer.
  10. Cry out for the Holy Spirit who is there to comfort and to lead.

God will do great things for those who trust in Him. The reason why His professed people have no greater strength is that they trust so much to their own wisdom, and do not give the Lord an opportunity to reveal His power in their behalf. He will help His believing children in every emergency if they will place their entire confidence in Him and faithfully obey Him. {PP 49}

Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
